Job offer: Assistant Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a professional, proactive, and ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support our team in upcoming and ongoing Projects around the United Kingdom and abroad, and to be based in Central London. Quantum Project Control is a fast-growing company, working within the construction, pharmaceutical and data center sectors, dedicated to the stable control of project delivery.

You will have a versatile workday and your contributions will play a key role in the projects. You will be part of a team with international experience and will assist the team in delivering a variety of tasks to our clients, interacting with internal and external consultants as well as contractors.

Your role will be to:
  • Assisting the senior team members with contract administration, including issuing notices, managing early warnings, and maintaining records
  • Helping to monitor project costs, variations, and valuations, including preparing reports on project financial performance
  • Supporting the team in identifying, assessing, and managing contractual and commercial risks
  • Collaborating with the project team to ensure accurate and timely submission of payment applications and management of invoices
  • Provide support to senior team members where required

We are looking for someone eager to learn and grow their knowledge of commercial practices in construction. The ideal candidate will have: 

  • 12 months Quantity Surveying experience gained either post graduation or as a year out within either a Main Contractor or Consultancy
  • Relevant Quantity Surveying degree, Construction Management degree or similar having attained a 2:1 or above
  • Communication skills – both written and verbal, with excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge of building, construction and engineering principles
  • Strong interpersonal skills – including the ability to build and develop relationships
  • Analytical thinking and a creative approach to problem solving

We are committed to supporting all eligible employees in achieving membership in the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS). Preferably, you have an exam or accredited courses from the RICS, or have ambitions to achieve this qualification.

Additionally, you must be prepared to work with international clients, contractors, and suppliers. All applicants must have the right to live and work in the UK and the right to travel abroad within the EU.
